Hardware & Robotics ESP32 / MicroPython 3D Printing
Shuttlecock Launcher Prototype
I designed this prototype to create an autonomous, cost-effective training machine entirely buildable with a standard 3D printer.
Hardware Architecture
Main Board ESP32-WROOM (30 pins) running MicroPython
Brushless Propulsion 2x A2212 1000KV Motors + 2x 40A ESCs
Servomotors 3x MG90S (Top Iris, Bottom Iris & Pusher)
Sensors & Display Flying Fish IR Sensor, IR Receiver & WS2812B 8x8 LED Matrix
Project Features
- 3D Chassis and Guide Parts: 3D-modeled feeder and track system designed to feed shuttles accurately into the dual ejection wheels.
- Embedded Wi-Fi Control: Lightweight web server hosted on the ESP32 to adjust cadence and shooting velocity in real time.
- IR Remote Control: Infrarouge sensor enabling the player to trigger or pause shuttlecock ejection from anywhere on the court.
